A Merseyside road will remain closed after an accident on Monday.
Millers Bridge in Bootle was forced to close after Merseyside Fire and Rescue were called to the scene on June 6. A spokesperson for the fire service confirmed that the road had been shut down due to a large amount of suspected cooking oil being spilled across the road.
Merseyside police were also at the scene to assist with traffic management. Now the Council has confirmed that Balliol Road at Millers Bridge will remain closed for the rest of Tuesday.

Millers Bridge was closed for a number of hours yesterday as emergency services dealt with the issue. Canal Street, Bridge Street, and Oriel Road were also closed to prevent traffic from trying to get onto Baliol Road.
A spokesperson from Sefton council said: "Balliol Road in Bootle will remain closed at Miller's Bridge for the rest of today at least, to complete work to clean up yesterday's oil spillage and then carry out safety tests."
