Police have given an update on a schoolboy who was injured in a fatal motorbike crash.
Cheshire Police rushed to Holcroft Lane at around 9.30pm on Monday, July 18, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene officers found a moped and another motorbike were involved in the crash.
Officers found two teenage boys at the scene, a 17-year-old and 13-year-old. The 17-year-old, Ben Smith from Irlam, died at the scene while the schoolboy was rushed to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service with serious injuries.

Cheshire Police have now confirmed the 13-year-old boy was discharged from hospital.
In a joint tribute issued through Cheshire police, his family said: "Ben Smith - The kind hearted boy who made everyone laugh. He was deeply loved and will be missed by so many people.
"Funeral details to follow. Family request privacy at this time. Always loved but never forgotten. A loving Son and Brother Xxxx."
Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and officers are appealing to anyone who may have been on Holcroft Lane between 9pm to 9.30pm on that evening.
The same goes to anyone who may have dashcam footage of a blue Suzuki moped or may have seen the vehicle in the area on that day.
