Upcoming PC games 2024: Best new titles coming to Steam and your Windows PC

Upcoming PC games including Atomfall, Monster Hunter: Wilds, and Avowed.

The videogames industry has come a long way since the days of the Atari 2600 and Nintendo Entertainment System back in the 1970s and 1980s. It's gone from a small, humble hobby for little kids to a global-wide, all-ages entertainment phenomenon that's rivals that of blockbuster Hollywood movies and producing tons of new PC games ever year that push the boundaries of 3D technology with no signs of slowing down.

With so many upcoming PC games to keep track of, it can be overwhelming to find them all. Luckily for you, we at Windows Central have been busy compiling the most highly anticipated upcoming PC games from AAA titles to indie games in one convenient list so you will never miss out on their launch dates.

Here is our list of the best upcoming PC titles to be released in 2024 and the far distant future.


Dreamers (December 4, 2024)

Dreamers is a relaxing adventure game where you play as three on a journey of self-discovery through a dreamlike world. Along the way you will meet characters will offer you aid in return for fulfilling tasks for them, encounter obstacles and puzzles that need to be solved in order to progress, learn the true values of comradery and adventure.

Fantasian Neo Dimension (December 5, 2024)

Fantasian Neo Dimension is an enhanced remaster of Fantasian, a JRPG released by Mistwalker back in 2021 for mobile devices. This game takes place in Vibra, a Queendom undergoing a national crisis as a deadly plague called Mechteria is slowly corrupting the land and killing its citizens.

As the main protagonist, Leo, it is up to you to explore the world and find a means to stop Mechteria while fulfilling your personal goals finding your long-lost father and memories.

Infinity Nikki (December 5, 2024)

Infinity Nikki is an open-world adventure game with dress-up elements and is the fifth major installment of Papergames’ long-running Nikki franchise. In this game, you play as titular Nikki as she embarks on another adventure to explore an alternate universe version of her homeland, Miraland.

Along with her friend Momo, Nikki will discover wonderous sights, take on complex puzzles, and unlock new magic powers by donning cute and beautiful dresses.

Marvel Rivals (December 6, 2024)

Marvel Rivals is a 5v5 PVP Hero shooter developed and published by NetEase Games. Take on the roles of legendary Marvel superheroes like Spiderman, Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Hulk, Storm, and much more, and join forces to smash enemies through destructible environments using marvellous Team-Up skills.

Path of Exile 2 (December 6, 2024)

Path of Exile 2 is a sequel to the critically-acclaimed ARPG developed and published by Grinding Gear Games. Set in the dark fantasy world of Wreaclast, you play as a mighty warrior charged with a mission to save the land from being corrupted by sinister magic.

Explore the world of this free-to-play online world alone, or gather a team of players in 6-player co-op parties for a better chance of survival.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (December 9, 2024)

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an upcoming first-person adventure game based on the Indiana Jones movie franchise, brought to you by the creators of the modern-day Wolfenstein games.

One night while working at Marshall College, Indiana Jones discovers a giant thief breaking into the college grounds and stealing an artifact that at first glance doesn't possess any historical significance. Sensing that there's more than meets the eye, Indiana Jones embarks on a journey across the globe to recover the artifact, uncover the mystery behind the artifact, and stop the villain from fulfilling whatever sinister scheme he is plotting.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 and 2 Remastered (December 10, 2024)

The Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver series, the cult classic action-adventure titles from the 1990s have been revived for modern PC platforms with improved graphics and controls, quality-of-life features, a map, a photo mode, and more.

You play as Raziel, a vampire that once the served the tyrannical vampire emperor, Kain. After displaying the ability to grow wings, Kain gets enraged and has Raziel executed seemingly out of jealously. Now reborn as a wraith, Raziel embarks on a quest to get revenge on Kain for betraying while being guided by a mysterious Elder God that has higher plans for him.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind (December 10, 2024)

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind is a side-scrolling beat ‘em up based on the classic 1990s superhero show of the same name. You play as the Power Rangers, a group of super-powered teenagers with attitude charged with saving the world from the evil witch Rita Repulsa, her future counterpart Robo-Rita, and their army of vicious monsters.

Players can take on the Putty Squad and intimidating bosses like Goldar solo or team up with their friends in 5-player co-op mayhem.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins (January 17, 2025)

Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a hack-and-slash action game based on the famous 14th-century novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. In this game, you play as an amnesiac martial artist traveling China searching for his lost memories and name.

Your journey then takes a dramatic turn when you encounter a village suffering famine and meet two warriors who ask you to join their crusade to topple this country's corrupt rulers and save its downtrodden people.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (January 23, 2025)

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a continuation of Final Fantasy VII Remake, the critically acclaimed action-RPG reimagining of Square Enix’s iconic JRPG, Final Fantasy VII. After the events of Remake, Cloud Strife and his friends begin their trek across the globe to track down Sephiroth and stop him from destroying the world, all the while dealing with the Shinra Corporation and dark revelations that threaten tear Cloud’s mind apart.

Eternal Strands (January 28, 2025)

Eternal Strands is an action-adventure game where you play as Brynn the Weaver, an individual capable of manipulating the elements through magic. Many ages ago, Brynn's people were driven out from their ancestral homelands by ancient, rampaging monsters the size of buildings.

Enraged at this injustice, Brynn embarks on a quest to find a way to retake their people's homeland and topple the monsters that now reside there. To accomplish this, you will need to master your powers so you can manipulate the elements to your advantage such as conjuring bridges made of ice to traverse gaps or redirect incoming fire attacks back at your foes.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (January 30, 2025)

After being locked behind PlayStation exclusivity for a year, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will finally be web-swinging onto PC platforms in 2025. Follow the superheroic escapades of Peter Parker and his best friend Miles Morales as they defend New York City from evil supervillains like Kraven the Hunter, Sandman, The Lizard, and the monstrous alien Symbiote, Venom.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (February 4, 2025)

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the sequel to the sleeper indie action-RPG will be coming soon to PC. You are Henry, a young man hailing from Skalitz who has recently witnessed his beloved parents murdered by an unknown assailant.

With Henry's heart burning with sadness and rage, he begins a journey to explore the vast lands of 15th-century Behomia to destroy his parent's killer while encountering many characters, conspiracies, and conflicts.

Sid Meier's Civilization VII (February 11, 2025)

Sid Meier's Civilization VII is the seventh mainline entry in the long-running Civilization franchised developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games. In this 4X strategy game, you are put in command of a small civilization and are tasked with raising up to become one of the mightiest Empires on Earth.

How you choose to go about your mission is up to you. Will you be a peaceful ruler that focuses building alliances and trade deals with other nations or will you be a cold-blooded tyrant and raise an army to conquer the world by force?

Assassin's Creed Shadows (February 14, 2024)

After many years of requests from fans, Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise is going to Japan for its next mainline entry, Assassin's Creed Shadows. This game will be set in late Sengoku-era Japan and will have players assume the role of two protagonists, each with unique gameplay styles and intertwined stories.

These protagonists are Naoe Fujibayashi, a shinobi assassin traveling across to seek vengeance for her massacred village. And Yasuke, a legendary African samurai seeking a new purpose after serving the infamous warlord, Nobunaga Oda.

As Naoe, you will experience Assassin's Creed's traditional stealth-based gameplay as you work to assassinate your foes without being seen. Meanwhile, playing as Yasuke will feel more like an action game as you charge into battle head-on and use your samurai skills to block, parry, and cut enemies down.

Avowed (February 18, 2025)

Avowed is an upcoming first-person RPG brought to you by Obsidian Entertainment, the makers of critically-acclaimed games like Fallout: New Vegas, Grounded, The Outer Worlds, and more.

Set in the fantasy world of Eora, you play as an envoy to the kingdom of Aedyr. Recently, there have been troubling rumors of a vile plague spreading throughout the Living Lands and you have been sent to investigate it. What follows is an epic adventure filled with danger and mystery as you try to this mystical region from being destroyed.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage (Part 1 - February 18, 2025, Part 2 - March 18, 2025)

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is an upcoming narrative adventure developed and published by DON'T NOD. In 1995, four close high-school friends became involved in a horrifying event that caused them to split apart and never speak again.

27 years later, fate has conspired to reunite these souls once more as the dark secrets of their past have caught up to them.

This game will be released in two parts. Part 1 will launch on February 18, 2025, and Part 2 will launch on March 18, 2025.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii (February 21, 2025)

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a standalone, action-adventure spin-off of SEGA's long-running Like a Dragon franchise where you play one of the most beloved character in the franchise, Goro Majima.

After being stranded on a remote island in the Pacific and losing his memories of who he is and how he got there, Goro Majima puts together a pirate crew to help him get back what he lost while exploring the sea for legendary treasure along the way. However, he and his crew will have to watch their backs for bloodthirsty pirates are aiming to sink for their ship and rob them of their lives.

Monster Hunter Wilds (February 28, 2025)

Monster Hunter Wilds is the next big entry in Capcom's best-selling Monster Hunter series and will be the first title to be developed exclusively for the next-gen platforms. Get ready for turbulent winds as you will be hunting monsters in scorching deserts wracked with terrible sandstorms and thunderstorms.

Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter (February 2025)

Return to the dark world of rats and steel in Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, the sequel to the critically acclaimed action-RPG by Odd Bug Studio, Tails of Iron. Players once again assume the role of the protagonist Arlo as he embarks on a new journey to save his kingdom of ratfolk from being destroyed by a horde of bat-like monsters called the Dark Wings.

This new adventure will take players to the unexplored, hostile frozen wastelands, gather resources to upgrade their abilities and gear, and challenge nasty, difficult bosses in brutal soulslike combat.

Split Fiction (March 6, 2025)

Split Fiction is an upcoming co-op action-adventure game developed by Hazelight Studios and published by EA. In this game you play as Mio and Zoe, a pair of fiction writers who get trapped into a virtual reality simulator designed to steal their creative ideas at the behest of an evil corporation.

Now Mio and Zoe must learn to work together to escape the simulator by traversing through the fictional worlds they have created and looking for an exit back to reality.

Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars (March 6, 2025)

The first two entries in Konami's legendary Suikoden series are being re-released in the form of Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars. Embark on epic journeys to gather over a hundred playable characters and topple tyrannical empires in classic turn-based JRPG battles.

Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars will also feature remastered graphics and sprite animations, quality-of-life improvements to speed up the pacing of turn-based battles, and more.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land (March 21, 2025)

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is the latest entry in the Atelier franchise, a long-running series of JRPGs centered heavily around alchemy. This game takes place on a continent where alchemy is banned because centuries ago, Aladissian Empire was destroyed by an unknown disaster caused by alchemy.

However, our protagonist, Yumia Liessfeldt doesn't believe alchemy caused the downfall of the Aladissian Empire and sees alchemy can be a force of good as her dearly departed and kind-hearted mother was an alchemist herself. So Yumia vows to prove to the world alchemy isn't evil by joining the Aladiss Research Team uncovering Aladissian Empire's lost history in the hopes that alchemy wasn't responsible for its destruction.

Atomfall (March 27, 2025)

Atomfall is a first-person shooter with survival elements developed and published by Rebellion. This game is set in an alternate history version of 1950's Britain where a nuclear disaster ravaged Northern England and had it quarantined.

However, not all is what it seems as supernatural phenomena are occurring in the quarantine zone and it is populated with all kinds of characters that have taken residence there including cults, agents working for the government, giant robots, and more. To find out what's going on, you must delve into the quarantine zone to uncover its secrets while fighting off the hostile locales that call this nuclear-irradiated region home.

The First Berserker: Khazan (March 27, 2025)

From the creators of the long-running MMO, Dungeon Fighter Online comes a brand new, brutal action-RPG called The First Berserker: Khazan. You are Khazan, a disgraced war general framed for committing high treason against the Pelos Empire.

With nothing left to lose, Khazan embarks on a bloody quest for vengeance to murder those responsible for his downfall and reclaim his lost honor.

Double Dragon Revive (October 23, 2025)

The Lee Brothers are back to kick butt once again in the latest entry of the long-running Double Dragon series, Double Dragon Revive. In this 3D take on the classic beat em' up franchise, use Billy and Jimmy Lee's martial arts skills to chain to together intricate combo attacks, smack enemies with weapons, and make use of the environmental to gain an advantage in battle.

2XKO (2025)

The League of Legends franchise takes a stab at the fighting game genre with 2XKO. Form tag teams of your favorite characters like Jinx, Ahri, and Ekko, and duke it out against your rivals in epic 2v2 offline and online matches.

ArcheAge Chronicles (2025)

ArcheAge Chronicles is an MMORPG where you play as an explorer hired by a prestigious trading company to explore the world of Auroria to unravel its mysteries, find long-lost treasures that be traded for lucrative rewards, and protect the trading company from bandits looking to plunder it.

Borderlands 4 (TBA)

2K and Gearbox Software's iconic looter franchise, Borderlands, is back for another bombastic adventure with Borderlands 4. There is very little information regarding Borderlands 4's content at this time but we do know that it will once again put players in the shoes of Vault Hunters running and gunning across the galaxy to loot alien Vaults in search of ancient treasure.

CAPCOM Fighting Collection 2 (2025)

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is a greatest-hits compilation of some of the most underrated fighting games Capcom has ever produced. This collection includes the likes of the Capcom Vs SNK series, the 3D arena fighter duology known as Power Stone, and more underrated classics like Project Justice, Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein, and more.

In addition, all titles within this collection will include new training modes, art galleries, quality-of-life improvements for single-player content, customizable controls, and online play with rollback netcode so you can challenge your friends online.

Citizen Sleepers 2: Starward Vector (2025)

Citizen Sleeper 2 is a cyberpunk RPG developed by Jump Over The Age and published by Fellow Traveller. In this sequel to Citizen Sleeper, players will find themselves adrift in space trying to survive, searching for a reliable crew to man their ship, and avoid being captured by corrupt corporations.

Cronos: The New Dawn (2025)

Chronos: The New Dawn is a surreal and dark survival horror game set in a post-apocalyptic future where man has devolved into incomprehensible monsters and the world has destroyed by temporal phenomena. To save what's left of your grim future, you must travel into the past via time rifts and harvest the Essences of certain people who are key to restoring your broken world.

Crimson Desert (2025)

Crimson Desert is an upcoming open-world adventure game created by the makers of Black Desert and is set in the same universe. As the wandering mercenary, Macduff, your goal is to travel the land of Pywell and take up quests and bounties so you can earn enough money to survive this harsh world.

Dispatch (2025)

Dispatch is a point-and-click adventure game developed by the writers and directors behind Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us. Set in a world of superheroes, you play as the hero Mecha Man (real name: Robert Robertson) who has been taken out of action after his suit gets destroyed in a fight with supervillains.

To continue earning his keep, Robert is forced to take a desk job as a dispatcher at a Superhero Dispatch Center for reformed supervillains. You will be tasked with managing a roster of misfit heroes, strategizing which heroes are best suited to tackle life-threatening emergencies and villains, establishing relationships with your co-workers, and rebuilding your Mecha Man suit so you can get back at the villains that benched you from the front lines.

Doom: The Dark Ages (2025)

Doom: The Dark Ages is a prequel to Id Software’s critically acclaimed Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal that tells the origins of the Doom Slayer and his never-ending war against the demons of Hell.

Rip and tear armies of Cyberdemons and Imps apart with an arsenal of crazy new weapons, parry incoming attacks with a chainsaw shield, bring down heaven’s wrath while riding a cyborg-dragon, and go toe-to-toe with titans by riding giant mechs.

Dune Awakening (2025)

Dune Awakening is an open-world survival MMO game based on the popular Dune franchise. In this game, you play as a lowly traveler struggling to survive on Arrakis, a desert planet inhabited by warring factions called Great Houses and giant sandworms. If you wish to rise to the top of the food chain, you must learn the ways of the Fremen to acquire life-saving survival skills.

Build settlements where you can craft weapons and vehicles, explore the world to uncover its secrets and gain control of the planet's spice trade so you can gain the funds and influence to build a Great House and challenge your rivals for leadership of this world.

Dying Light: The Beast (2025)

Escape from the confines of science lab and hack your way through hordes of undead zombies to exact revenge on the villains who experimented and locked you away for 13 years.

Elden Ring: Nightreign (2025)

Elden Ring: Nightreign is an upcoming online multiplayer spin-off of Elden Ring that pits teams of three players against hordes of monsters returning from previous FromSoftware games and original horrors never seen before.

Take on the roles of one of eight Nightfarers, master their powerful unique abilities, and battle your way through multiple locales to slay the Night Lord.

FBC: Firebreak (2025)

FBC: Firebreak is a co-op-focused first-person-shooter where a team of players take on the role of elite agents working for a secret organization called the Federal Bureau of Control and protect its headquarters from being destroyed by supernatural phenomena. Your team must be co-ordinated and outfitted with the best weapons your budget will allow if you hope to survive unknown paranormal horrors invading your world.

Grit and Valor - 1949 (2025)

Grit and Valor - 1949 is a real-time tactics game with roguelite elements set in a crazy, alternate version of World War 2 where armies wage war with colossal-sized "dieselpunk" mechs. You play as a squad of European mech pilots tasked with the dangerous mission of infiltrating New Germany and activating an EMP bomb that will wipe out the Axis mechs and turn the tide of the war in Europe's favor

Hell is Us (2025)

In this game, you are tasked with a mission to traverse this war-torn realm for answers to your mysterious past and how to destroy these seemingly immortal monsters for good.

Kingmakers (2025)

Kingmakers is a real-time strategy/third-person shooter hybrid developed by Redemption Road Games and published by tinyBuild. The premise is that you are traveling 500 years back to medieval England to alter the history of a bloody war in order to save your future.

Kingmakers mixes real-time strategy, base-building, and third-person shooter action to create an insane sandbox simulator that pits armies of the past and future in gloriously chaotic battles.

Little Nightmares 3 (2025)

Little Nightmares 3 is an upcoming horror-themed platformer developed by Supermassive Games and published by Bandai Namco Europe S.A.S. In this third entry in the Little Nightmares series, you must help a pair of children escape from a cruel, horrible land known as Nowhere so they find a better life.

This game will feature all the trademark scares and intricate platforming that fans have come to love about Little Nightmares. Except this time, you don't have to face your fears alone because Little Nightmares 3 will allow to play with a friend in two-player online co-op for the first time in the series history.

Lost Hellden (2025)

Lost Hellden is a JRPG set in the world of Era, a realm where all its inhabitants are cursed by one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Should a person succumb to the Sin they're bound to, they will transform into a psychotic monster devoid of humanity and reason.

You play as Cyphel, a young warrior who is unbelievably fortunate enough to avoid being cursed by any of the Sins. His twin brother, Leht, isn't so lucky as he is bound to all seven Sins. One day, Leht runs away from home without telling a soul where he's going. Upon discovering this, Cyphel immediately departs on a journey to get his brother back before he succumbs to his Sins.

Lunar Remastered Collection (2025)

Lunar Remastered Collection is a compilation featuring remastered editions two classic JRPGs originally released for the Sega CD during the 1990s called Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete. These two JRPGs are considered cult-classic of the genre for their charming characters, grand adventure stories, and fun turn-based combat.

The first game, Lunar: Silver Star Story, has you assume the role of Alex, a young boy who embarks on an journey to become legendary hero just like the Dragonmaster Dyne. However, his quest will be easier said than as he will contend with the Magic Emperor, a power-hungry villain who aims to take over the world.

The second game meanwhile has you play as Hiro, a young man who is on a quest to escort a mysterious woman named Lucia back to her homeworld of Blue Star. Along the way, they will meet dependable allies and despicable villains looking to destroy them.

Mafia: The Old Country (2025)

Mafia: The Old Country is an action-adventure game developed by Hanger 13 and published by 2K. This game is set in the 1900s Sicily and the player takes the role of a rookie mafioso named Enzo Favara. You will embark on a dark journey rising through the ranks of the Don Torrisi crime family to prove your worth and forge a better life by breaking the law.

Mecha BREAK (2025)

Amazon Seasun presents Mecha BREAK, an online, PVP, action game where players compete in deadly wargames and attempt to destroy each other with giant mechs. Players will be able to create their mechs and outfit them with all kinds of weapons, armor and cosmetics that will help them achieve victory and look cool while doing it.

Mouse: P.I. for Hire (2025)

Mouse: P.I. for Hire is an upcoming first-person shooter inspired by film-noir movies, 90s FPS, and 1930s rubber hose-style cartoons. As the hard-boiled detective John Mouston, you are on a case to take down criminal gangs who have turned your home city into a cesspool of corruption, crime, and betrayal.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is an upcoming side-scrolling action-platformer developed by The Game Kitchen and published by Dotemu. Set during the events of the original Ninja Gaiden from 1988, players take control of a ninja named Kenji Mozu and is charged with defending Hayabusa Village while Ryu Hayabusa is away.

Your guard duty will be easier said than done as demons have begun breaking through into the mortal plane to destroy everything in their path.

Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (2025)

CD Projeck RED returns to the Witcher universe with The Witcher 4. a new action-RPG that's set to kick off a new trilogy in franchise. In this upcoming title, players will take on the role of Ciri, Geralt's adopted daughter who has become a Witcher (monster hunters-for-hire) since the events of The Witcher 3.

As Ciri, you will embark on a dark journey through a cruel world hunting beasts for money and be confronted with complex moral dilemmas that will make you question who the real 'monsters' are.

The Wolf Among Us 2 (TBA)

The sequel to the gritty detective game that released back in 2013 is finally coming out this year. Based on the Fables comics created by Bill Willingham, the story follows the Sheriff of Fabletown, Bigby Wolf, as he seeks to solve murders and mysteries while interacting with the fairy tale characters who live in New York City.

Don't expect a happily ever after, though. Fairytale characters have to do some drastic things to get by in the real world and you're bound to uncover some serious depravity. Not to mention, Bigby Wolf tends to turn into a wolf himself when he gets upset. The Wolf Among Us 2 is set to release sometime in 2024.

Turok: Origins

Turok Origins is an upcoming third-person shooter developed and published by Saber Interactive. You play as the Turok warriors, a clan of fighters charged with the dangerous mission to hunt dinosaurs and defend their home, the Lost Lands, from alien invaders.

Players can defend humanity solo or bring along their friends in three-player online co-op.

Undead Inc. is an upcoming business management simulator developed by Rightsized Games and published by Team17. Take control of a subsidiary of Endswell Medical Corporation and use its financial and resources to create technologically advanced medicine to the public and create weaponized viruses in secret and sell in illicit trade deals to rake in the profits.

Should a viral outbreak occur or the local authorities discover your illegal activities, it is up to you to rectify the situation by any means necessary.
