Rampur: Former MP and actress Jaya Prada on Wednesday appeared before an MP-MLA court here in Rampur and recorded her statement in connection with two cases of violation of the model code of conduct, prosecution sources said here.
Prosecution sources said the former MP appeared before the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Shobhit Bansal.
It may be noted that earlier she appeared before the court on March 4 during which she was held under judicial custody for almost two hours before being released on bail.

Prosecution sources said after recording her statement the court fixed March 22 as the next date of hearing.
After coming out of the court after hearing, the ex-MPs counsel and Supreme Court lawyer Praveen Kumar said Jaya Prada's statement has been recorded.
He said there were some statements going on in the media which were completely rejected.
Talking to the reporters, Jaya Prada said in her statements that she has said she did not do anything which violated the code of conduct. If any mistake has been committed knowingly or unknowingly, she apologises for it.
It may be mentioned that two cases of violation of model code of conduct were lodged against Jaya Prada during Lok Sabha election in 2019. (UNI)
