Lucknow: BJP candidate Anujesh Yadav on Friday filed his nomination papers for Karhal assembly by-election.
His mother Urmila Devi accompanied him when he filed his nomination. Urmila Devi is a former MLA from Ghiraur assembly constituency, which was later merged with Karhal assembly constituency.
Talking to reports, the former MLA Urmila Devi said her son would work for the people as she did.

The BJP has fielded Anujesh Yadav as its candidate for the bypoll in Karhal assembly seat against Samajwadi Party's Tej Pratap Singh Yadav.
By-polls to be held on Nov 13
By-elections for nine assembly seats, including Karhal, in Uttar Pradesh will be held on November 13. The outcome of the polls will be announced on November 23.

The seat was represented by Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav, who vacated it after being elected to the Lok Sabha in general elections held earlier this year.
