Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna on Thursday presented the biggest ever paperless Budget 2022-23 of Rs 6 lakh crore in the Assembly.
The focus in the budget is on education, health, youth and women, as well as on the creation of infrastructure, agriculture and jobs for the youth.
Under Safe City Project a provision of Rs 523 crore 34 lakh is proposed for women’s safety in Lucknow, Gautam Budh Nagar, Agra, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Prayagraj.
The State Finance Minister announced the opening of ATS centers in Kanpur, Meerut and Azamgarh.
For the security of important establishments in the state, UP Special Security Force has been constituted, for which a provision of Rs 276 crore 66 lakh is proposed.
A provision of Rs 730 crore 88 lakh is suggested for the second phase of the UP 112 scheme.
An arrangement of Rs.250 crore is provided for security equipments and weapons for district police stations.
At the same time, the constrution of Forensic Science Laboratories and UP Forensic Science Institute in Lucknow is in progress.
