Residents and shoppers in Arnold have said the influx of pubs and bars opening in the heart of the town centre is "fantastic", with one saying it is helping to "regenerate" the area. A number of venues have opened on Front Street in recent years.
This includes Bostons, Sashas and Dexters all within a stone's throw away from each other near, where The AMP is being built. The Eagles Corner pub could be reopening soon, while there are hopes surrounding another late-night bar that's proposed to replace a former Polish food shop. The Organ Grinder has also recently undergone a £20,000 makeover.
The new venues are said to have brought "more life" to the area. One resident also said it's good to see the venues being used as places to meet for coffee or food during the day.

Sharon Finch, 51, who lives in Arnold, said: "It's fantastic, it's regenerating the area and it makes it more appealing to younger people, too. You don't have to travel into Nottingham anymore.
"They're nice places too. Since the end of lockdown, we've seen a lot more small or independent businesses, it's a good thing to have that rather than big chains."
Amanda Brentnall, 53, who lives in Arnold, said: "Three bars have all opened up on Front Street recently, and I've not had the chance to sample them yet but I will do when I can. It's also not just about the drinking but it's a nice place for people to meet and sit, have something to eat and have a cup of coffee, too."
Wendy Boam, who lives in Calverton, said: "My daughter came into the town the other night and they enjoy it, they went from one bar to another while I had the grandchildren. I'm usually in bed by 7am.
"Having said that, I do think the bars have brought more life to the area. I don't go into the city centre much anymore, you've got everything you need in Arnold." The new openings come at a time of wider redevelopment.
The AMP at Arnold Market Place forms the centrepiece of the £4m Arnold Market regeneration project. The redevelopment, that's designed to attract independent businesses and create an impressive gateway into the town, marks the biggest investment Arnold has ever received.
The AMP, between the Methodist Church and King George V park, has provision for 16 stalls. Potential tenants were previously asked to contact Gedling Borough Council about renting spaces.
