Leeds United will be aiming to avoid suffering a six straight defeat against clubs from London for the first time in their history.
Jesse Marsch's side entertain Premier League strugglers West Ham United at Elland Road on Wednesday. The Hammers have been defeated in five consecutive league games for the first time since 2017, and sit above the relegation zone only on goal difference.
The Whites have lost five straight games against clubs from the capital for the first time since 1958, after being beaten by Brentford, Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur respectively. Furthermore, Leeds have led in three of those defeats, including three times in their 4-3 loss at the hands of Tottenham just before the World Cup break in November.

Their last victory against a London club came in their famous 3-0 triumph over Chelsea at Elland Road in August.
Leeds' recent record against the Hammers also doesn't make for pretty reading. The Whites have won just one of their last seven meetings across all competitions with West Ham, although they did collect their first victory over them since 2005 with a 3-2 triumph in January 2022.
