A Welsh rugby club say not enough people are playing rugby after the cancellation of yet another league fixture.
Vardre RFC have completed just one home match in Division 3 West Central since October 8, with a post on the club’s official twitter feed branding the situation “unsustainable”.
Poor weather accounted for a couple of the games, with one game abandoned, but mostly they’ve been called off as opponents have been unable to raise teams.

Vardre still have four matches left to play, with a Saturday and Wednesday schedule for the rest of the campaign.
“It’s been a difficult season in terms of playing matches,” said secretary Wayne Griffiths.
“We’ve only completed just one game at home in the league since our match against Aberavon Green Stars on October 8 and that’s ridiculous, really.
“There doesn’t seem to be enough people playing rugby any more.
“No-one’s to blame. If people don’t want to play the game, that’s the way it is.
“One club cancelled recently because they knew they’d have only 10 players. How can they play a game with 10 players? If they play with 12, say, and we have 15 and subs, it’s not a fair situation.”
A follow-up post on Vardre’s Twitter page asked why fixtures were not being played throughout international blocks during the season, with the possibility for games to be staged on Fridays or Wednesdays.
Wayne Griffiths added: “We have four games left to play and we’ll play those on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Recently, we’ve had four games all cancelled with teams unable to play us.
“Hopefully, all our remaining games will go ahead as planned.
“The worry is this situation will be with us at least until the leagues settle down after restructuring.”
Bidding for promotion, Vardre have home games left against Cwmavon and Cwmllynfell, with away matches against Nantymoel and Cwmgors.
