University Post Graduate College, Osmania University, conducted its alumni meet – Taksh – here on Friday. The event witnessed participation of the alumni from various walks of life.
Principal Prof. B. Sudhakar Reddy welcoming the members said the college was celebrating its diamond jubilee this year and urged members’ contribution for skill and entrepreneur development.
Informing that the college was offering BBA, BCA and MCA courses, he also appealed for alumni’s role in the upliftment of college and in upgradation of courses on a par with demands in the market. He asked them to institute a Professor’s Chair on entrepreneurship. A hall will be named after the alumni, he said.
Consul General of Kazakistan Nawab Dr. Nasar Ali Khan, an alumnus, on behalf of the Government of Kazakhstan presented books on prose and poetry to the college library.
Another alumnus Noushir Mehta, a Ranji Trophy cricketer of Hyderabad, shared rewards and achievements he earned representing the college in the past five decades.
Capt. Srinivas Rao, Dr. Aarti Jadhav, magician Samala Venu, social activist Baba Michel and others took part in the union.
