The incident, which involved the suspect using a bottle as a weapon, resulted in two students being treated at the scene. The suspect, who is not affiliated with the university, was swiftly apprehended and is currently in custody.
The university administration promptly reached out to Hillel University Center and the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh to offer support to the affected students. Pitt Police officers are commended for their quick response, and the Student Affairs team is providing ongoing support to the students.

Despite a separate shooting incident at the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, which is unrelated to the attack on the Jewish students, there is no ongoing threat to the public. The injured individual from the shooting is reported to be in stable condition.
