University lecturer sacked for asking inappropriate incest essay question

A university lecturer has been sacked after asking an inappropriate quiz question about incest.

The lecturer, Khair ul Bashar, was dismissed from his job after asking a test question about a brother and sister having sex with each other.

Students were said to be in an uproar when asked to write a 300-word essay about what they thought of incest.

The lecturer is said to have come across the test question on Google.

The incident occurred at The Comsats University in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The exam quiz paper was called the 'The Julie and Mark Scenario'.

It was given to Electrical Engineering students to complete.

It read: "Julie and Mark are brother and sister. They are travelling together in France on summer vacation from college.

"One night they are staying alone in a cabin near the beach. They decided that it would be interesting and fun if they tried making love.

"At the very least, it would be a new experience for each of them."

It continued: "Julie was already taking birth control pills and Mark uses a condom too, just to be safe.

"They both enjoy making love, but they decide never to do it again.

"They keep that night a special secret which makes them feel even closer to each other.

"What do you think about that? Was it ok for them to make love?

"Give reasons for your answers and include some relevant examples from your own knowledge and personal opinion.

"You should write at least 300 words. Your essay must be in four paragraphs which include introduction, body and conclusion."

The university deemed the question "highly objectionable" and against curriculum laws.

It also "caused unrest amongst the families of students."
