COLLEGES and universities in Glasgow will close tomorrow as the city prepares to battle strong winds.
The Met Office has issued the rare warning for central Scotland on Friday with the forecaster warning of a "danger to life".
Storm Eowyn is expected to bring winds of up to 90mph and will be in place from 10am to 5pm on Friday, January 24.
The University of Glasgow has cancelled all face-to-face teaching and assessments tomorrow across all campuses.

All in-person meetings and events are also cancelled.
Staff who do not deliver essential services are advised to work from home.
Glasgow Clyde College has confirmed all campuses will be closed tomorrow for the safety of students and staff. Saturday classes are scheduled to go ahead as planned.
City of Glasgow College is also closing both its city and riverside campuses and said classes will take place online where possible .
Their halls of residence will remain open.
Glasgow Caledonian University have advised students and staff to work from home and said updates will be provided as needed.
