Many people who claim Universal Credit could be paid early next week.
Due to the four-day weekend to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, some claimants' payment dates will be moved forward. Because there are two bank holidays on consecutive days, benefit payments may not happen on their usual day.
Buckingham Palace has confirmed that both Thursday, June 2, and Friday, June 3, will be bank holidays as the Queen celebrates 70 years on the throne.

Usually, payments due to be made on bank holiday dates are paid before they are supposed to arrive. This means if your usual Universal Credit payment date falls on June 2 or June 3, you can expect it on June 1.
If your payment date falls on a normal working day on either side of the long weekend, you'll get payments as normal. Other DWP benefits are likely to be affected.

- Carer’s Allowance
- Child Benefit
- Disability Living Allowance
- Employment and Support Allowance
- Income Support
- Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Pension Credit
- Personal Independence Payment
- State Pension

Single under 25: £265.31 (from £257.33)
Single 25 or over: £334.91 (from £324.84)
Couple
Joint claimants both under 25: £416.45 (from £403.93)
Joint claimants, one or both 25 or over: £525.72 (from £509.91)
Child elements
First child (born prior to April 6, 2017): £290 (from £282.60)
First child (born on or after April 6, 2017) or second child and subsequent child (where an exception or transitional provision applies): £244.58 (from £237.08)
