United in grief... heartbroken royals seen looking sorrowful during emotional service for The Queen

Members of the royal family gathered today to mourn the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Today, the Queen's coffin made its final journey to St George's Chapel after being laid in state over the weekend for members of the public to pay their respects to the late monarch. Royals, politicians, world leaders and special guests attended today's funeral service.

Among those in attendance were King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, the Princess Royal, the Duke of York, and Prince Edward. They are accompanied by the Queen's grandchildren - Prince William, prince Harry, Peter Phillips, and Zara Tindall as well as Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor.

The Queen's cousins - the Duke of Kent, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Princess Alexandra, and Prince Richard - were also in attendance. Royals from other countries also joined in mourning for the Queen in London today, including Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan as well as the King and Queen of the Netherlands, the King and Queen of Spain, the King and Queen of Belgium, the Queen of Denmark, the King and Queen of Sweden, and the King and Queen of Norway.

Meanwhile, around 500 guests from nearly 200 countries, including 100 presidents and heads of government. Many of the world leaders in attendance today had met the Queen during her long reign.

It was also announced ahead of the funeral that Prince George and his younger sister Princess Charlotte would be among those in attendance at Westminster Abbey to say farewell to the late monarch. The young royals were seen travelling in a car with the Prince and Princess of Wales as they joined in the funeral procession.

Their grandfather, the King with the Queen consort, followed the coffin from behind while leading Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke of York, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, and then the Prince and Princess of Wales.
