United Airlines flight experienced a frightening incident just before takeoff from Chicago O'Hare airport. Smoke was seen coming from the wing of the Seattle-bound flight, prompting an emergency stop during the takeoff process due to an engine fire.
Thankfully, all passengers on board were safely evacuated after the plane was towed back to the gate. United Airlines has assured that no injuries were reported, and the 143 customers on the flight were able to deplane normally.
The airline is currently working on making alternative travel arrangements for the affected passengers. This includes ensuring that they are accommodated on a different flight to their destination, where the wing is not catching fire, as humorously noted.
