Uniqlo's 'crease proof' £30 linen shirt hailed a 'must have' for Summer wedding guests and rivals Marks and Spencer

Fashion fans are scrambling to get their hands on a £30 linen shirt that has been hailed a 'must have' for the Summer. The shirt, which is from Japanese based clothing brand Uniqlo, which rivals the likes of Marks and Spencer, has been highly recommended for men looking for Summer wedding guest outfits, and can also be worn for BBQs, picnics and on holiday.

Uniqlo's £29.90 Linen Blend Sort Sleeve shirt with an open collar combines cotton and linen for breathability and freshness. The linen blend fabric also means it is wrinkle proof, making it perfect to pop into a suitcase for a Summer holiday without the need for ironing.

The shirt, which is available to buy in five different colours (Olive, white, natural (which is a light tan), brown and blue.) has a relaxed fit for easy styling. We suggest pairing it with the matching linen trousers, which cost £39.90 and are also from Uniqlo, for a fuss-free Summer look.

The £29.90 linen shirt has already seen glowing five-star reviews on the Uniqlo website. One shopper wrote: "I brought this a couple weeks ago and cannot stop wearing it.

"It has a nice body fit at the material is light and breathable. Perfect on a warm spring day." A second said: "This linen shirt has the Perfect boxy fit , exactly what I wanted!"

One of the shirt's biggest fan is Tik Tok fashion influencer from Manchester, Sam Hulme, who took to the platform to wax lyrical about the simple but classy Summer shirt. In a short clip which has racked up over 340k views, Sam tells users "this is the shirt that everyone is sleeping on" as he models it in Uniqlo's Manchester store in the Arndale.

Sam says he "can't recommend enough". But despite Sam's glowing review, some did take to the comments to warn about the pricing and sizing of the shirt with one user saying: "Such a cool looking shirt but it’s soooo stiff and boxy. Won’t look great on you if you’re a bigger guy/if you have a longer torso."

Another viewer said: "£30 is steep for a Summer shirt not going to lie, should be £15-20." And another added: "Gonna buy for myself."

Similar men's linen Summer shirts can be found at Marks and Spencer (M&S) for £35, and at New Look for £22.
