Former Union J star Jaymi Hensley has revealed he's left the group who found fame on The X Factor and hinted at a feud within the group.
The singer, 33, took to social media on Tuesday night to share his announcement weeks after the group secretly cancelled their upcoming nationwide tour.
Union J, which now consists of George Shelley, Josh Cuthbert and JJ Hamblett had been scheduled to perform across the country but fans were left speechless when outlets, where they purchased tickets, had emailed them, informing them that the shows had been cancelled.
Jaymi announced on his Instagram and Twitter pages that he can no longer watch their legacy "decay" any more.
In a statement, the Luton-born hitmaker said: "To all the Union J fans, it is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to say I am no longer continuing on my journey as a member of Union J.
"Since day one, our family of fans has brought me love, light and support and has been the main reason for me being such a driving force within the band.
"Last year was the best year of my life being back out on stage with the boys and being in front of you all again," he added referring to their sell-out reunion show at the London Palladium.
The Beethoven singer continued: "I hoped and dreamed of all possibilities afterwards, but this has not happened for several reasons, and therefore, out of love & respect to the family of fans and my integrity as an artist, I cannot sit and watch the legacy that I have tried to sustain for a decade decay any further.
"I will continue to carry artistry, integrity and creativity as my driving force, but now is the time to focus the energy I have consistently put into Union J into myself and create art and music for us all to enjoy together.
"I truly love you, forever yours."
Fans have since rushed to the comment section to offer their support with one writing: "Love this and you, can't wait to watch you smash life on your own terms."
"FairPlay! Hats off to you! Good luck in everything you do in the future," added a second.
Before a third went on to write: "Good luck on your new journey, I've been a fan of the band since 2013. A decade has passed and I'll never stop being a fan of Union J, you were part of my adolescence, and today only great memories remain. Thank you so much for everything, your fan from Brazil!"
"All the best Jaymi," commented another.
Union J previously claimed they were told they needed to keep quiet about their tour being cancelled before admitting that they were just as devastated as fans were.
In a statement, they said: "We were strongly advised not to say anything, however, we now realise that wasn’t the best decision or advice.
"We are really sorry for any upset that has caused. We will bring you more news as soon as we can."
