Union Bears confirm Rangers vs Fenerbahce tifo as supporters asked for patience

The Union Bears have confirmed a tifo has been prepared for the Europa League match between Rangers and Fenerbahce.

The Ibrox side lead the round of 16 tie 3-1 after victory in Istanbul last week.

Now, Barry Ferguson's charges will aim to finish the job and seal qualification to the quarter-final stage with another positive result against Jose Mourinho's side.

Ahead of the match, a tifo will be displayed in the Copland Stand at Ibrox, with the Union Bears group promising a "lot of detail" in the display.

A message on social media also asked for patience from supporters in the Copland Stand while the tifo is presented ahead of kick-off.

A statement on social media read: "The Union Bears have prepared a tifo for tonight's match.

"A lot of detail is included and we ask supporters in the Copland Stand for their patience whilst this is presented.

"Thank you for your continued support."

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce fans who have travelled to Glasgow for tonight's Europa League tie with have paid a touching tribute to late supporter Christopher Potter.

The 40-year-old was in Turkiye last week with thousands of fellow Gers fans to watch the club's Round of 16 tie against Jose Mourinho's side.

Sadly, the father of three from Dennistoun was tragically killed in a road traffic incident the night before the game.

In a classy touch, pictured at Glasgow Airport, a large group of Fenerbahce fans posed with a flag as part of their tribute to Potter.

With an image of the Rangers fan holding a scarf above his head, the message reads: "Rest in peace Christopher Potter. Fenerbahce London Association."
