Union Bears announce 'Copland Stairs Street Party' before Rangers Europa League tie

The Union Bears have announced plans for a 'Copland Stairs Street Party' ahead of the Europa League match against Athletic Bilbao.

The Rangers fan group shared a video on social media urging supporters to "bring the noise and colour" ahead of the fixture.

Rangers first host Athletic Bilbao in the quarter-final first leg at Ibrox on Thursday, April 10, before the return leg in Spain the following week.

Now, it appears the Union Bears will lead a "street party" ahead of the match with a 6.30pm time confirmed in the social media post.

The update on the Union Bears account read: "Copland Stairs - 10/04, 18:30 Bring the noise and colour."

A banner shown inside Ibrox at the end of the clip read: "Copland Stairs Street Party 10/04."

An earlier update invited supporters to gather at the 3 Cheers Pub from 3pm. It stated: "Pre match information for next Thursday. We also invite those with ID to 3 Cheers Pub from 3pm."

The Union Bears previously led a march to the stadium ahead of the Europa League tie against Fenerbahce last month.

The group gathered at Cessnock Subway Station at 6.30pm on Thursday, March 13 before descending upon the stadium for the round of 16 second leg, which Rangers won on penalties.

Images from the march showed Union Bears flags with hundreds of supporters joining the procession to the stadium behind a Glasgow Rangers branded banner.

Flares and fireworks were set off as part of the march to the stadium.
