Unimpressed Princess Charlotte's sneaky gesture to mum Kate at royal Easter service

Princess Charlotte and her big brother Prince George stole the show as they made their debut at the royal family's annual Easter church service.

And while fans were delighted to see the young royals in Windsor with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Tindalls and the Wessexes, it seems that young Charlotte may not have been overly impressed.

As the family said goodbye to the Dean of Windsor, the Right Rev David Conner, George joined his parents to chat and shake hands but Charlotte appeared ready to go home.

She was spotted sneakily tugging on the back of her mum's coat to let her know she was ready to make a speedy exit. And to be honest, we don't blame her as we're sure she had lots of chocolate waiting for her at home!

Unsuccessful, she takes a few steps away from the family to wait while they say their polite goodbyes.

The Cambridges wore matching outfits for the sunny day out, with Kate rewearing a baby blue Emilia Wickstead dresscoat she previously donned for a visit to Luxembourg in 2017.

She teamed it with a stylish headband in a darker shade of blue and matching heels.

Charlotte wore a beautiful blue floral dress with matching tights, while George matched his dad in a suit and tie.

It's the second official outing for George and Charlotte this month, as they also joined the royals for Prince Philip's memorial service at St George's Chapel.

As the most senior members of the family to attend, the Cambridges led the way followed by the Earl and Countess of Wessex with their children, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn. Princess Eugenie walked alongside Peter Phillips and his children Savannah and Isla.

Zara and Mike Tindall brought their eldest daughter Mia to the church service.

The Queen, who has been experiencing mobility issues, is not attending the service, which is a staple in the royal calendar.

She also pulled out of the annual Maundy Thursday service, asking her eldest son Prince Charles to take her spot.

Last week she revealed that Covid left her "very tired and exhausted".

Despite making a surprise visit to the UK last week, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren't able to attend the religious service as they are over in The Hague for the Invictus Games.
