'Redefining beauty' campaigner and model Sophia Hadjipantel left fans in awe as she shared images of her glamourous red carpet look at the 76th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The 25-year-old has risen to fame on social media in recent years for showcasing her eccentric fashion taste, body positive views and untamed eyebrows.
In a bid to normalise what some would argue society pressurises people to hide or fix, the model-turned-activist has founded the '#UnibrowMovement' to champion 'unconventional beauty standards'. On Sunday (May 21), the Instagram star uploaded snapshots of her time at the prestigious event for the world premier of Martin Scorsese's film Killers of the Flower Moon.
She was joined on the red carpet by the likes of Hollywood icons Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro. She looked stunning in a black and silver plunging V-neck gown, with in-built diamante gloves and thigh-high splits.
Her look was completed with black tights, heels, smoky eye makeup and a half-up-half-down hair do. Sharing an array of photos from the event, Hadjipantel wrote: "Couldn’t have felt this amazing if it wasn’t for my amazing look."
Thousands of her followers flooded the comment section with all sorts of compliments. Maritsahadjipanteli replied: "You look so beautiful Sophia." Jenniferwestofficial added: "You are everything."
Sammsalter gushed: "Wow wow wow." Ninjarosworld typed: "My beautiful girl you are slaying that look!!!" Ola_awosika penned: "Absolutely FLAWLESS."
Alongside several fire emojis, Alexia_antoniades put: "Goddess!!!" Gigithebutterfly echoed: "Woow! Soooo beautiful! The dress is [fire emoji] and you... goddess!"
The social media star grew up in Cyprus before moving to the US with her family. She went on to study marketing at the University of Maryland.
In 2019, she appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain and chatted about unique eyebrows. Speaking to hosts Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan, she revealed that she had grown up in a "very conservative area of Maryland" and that she had struggled with being difficult.

"What's the reaction on the street?" Piers asked. "I definitely get a lot of negative reactions," she said, revealing that a lot of negativity she received was from online, adding: "I get a lot of death threats."
Piers blasted the death threats "disgusting" as other GMB viewers praised her uniqueness. Gilmourstott tweeted: "Sophia was such a nice person to listen to compared to some of these super models who think they’re so superior ! It’s only an eyebrow why be so nasty about it ?? #GMB."
