Unexploded munition has been found on a Scots beach as a bomb squad race to the scene.
The discovery was made on the beach of Kentra Bay, also known as the Singing Sands, in Lochaber on Saturday, July 9.
Salen and Kilchoan Coastguard Rescue Teams were initially tasked to military ordinance, a recent Coastguard social media post reads.
After the items were identified, they were subsequently destroyed by Royal Navy Ordnance disposal team.
Images shared by the Western Isles, Skye and Lochaber Coastguard show several rounds laid on the beach next to a warning sign.
It comes amid a busy week for the Coastguard who also noted missing people searches and medical transfers.
However, they firstly addressed the death of a 59-year-old kayaker at Carloway Pier around 9.30pm on Sunday, July 11.
They wrote: "We’d like to start by offering our deepest condolences to the family of the casualty who sadly lost his life in Carloway."
