Hey, remember that meme you might have seen everywhere? The GIF of WWE legend The Undertaker waking up from laying down on the canvas and looking menacing?
Well, we got the NFL ref version on Sunday in Week 1 of the 2023 season. Thanks to a reckless Kyzir White hit on Sam Howell on the sidelines in the Washington Commanders’ win over the Arizona Cardinals, a referee on the sidelines got nailed too.
But then, like The Undertaker, he popped up from the ground … and threw a flag. It was perfect. Glad he was OK, too, of course.
