Port FC landed in South Korea on Sunday hoping to pull off an upset victory in a play-off duel with Ulsan Hyundai and make it to the group stages of the AFC Champions League.
The Thai League 1 club is unlikely to have an easy time against last year's K-League runners-up Ulsan Hyundai in the one-off match on Tuesday.
Port chairwoman Nualphan Lamsam, who was at Suvarnabhumi airport to see off the team on Saturday night, admitted that her team would enter the game as "underdogs".
"Ulsan Hyundai are a very strong team and are former ACL winners so it won't be an easy outing for us," said Nualphan.
"We are the underdogs, but we aren't afraid of them.
"The players are ready to put in their best effort and put up a strong fight against Ulsan Hyundai.
"There are a number of players in the team who are nursing injuries so we'll only finalise the starting line-up as close to the kick-off as possible.
"We will also do everything possible to keep our players from both further injuries and coronavirus as it will affect our performance in the Thai league," she added.
Ulsan Hyundai currently lead the K-League standings.
Prachuap reach last eight
PT Prachuap moved into the semi-finals of the Thai League Cup after defeating Uthai Thani 2-1 in a last-eight encounter on Saturday night.
Apichart Denmarn and Patrick Reichelt scored in either half to secure the victory for the Wasps.
Ricardo Santos levelled for Uthai Thani in the 35th as Prachuap's lead lasted only a couple of minutes.
Reichelt was on target in the 72nd minute to help Prachuap avoid an upset.
