Uncle Bryn's house from famous BBC show Gavin and Stacey is now up for sale

A property which played a part in the BBC show Gavin and Stacey has now come on the market. Fans of the hit sitcom series, which ran from 2007 to 2010, will remember the iconic character Uncle Bryn, played by comedian Rob Brydon, who lived across the road from Stacey's mother Gwen's house in Wales.

Uncle Bryn's home, where filming took place across the TV series co-created by James Corden and Ruth Jones, is now up for sale - and it could be bought and lived in by a Gavin and Stacey fan.

The famous house on Trinity Street in the Welsh town of Barry is on the market for £212,000, with estate agents Chris Davies Estate Agents stating it has been "used as Uncle Bryn's house on Gavin and Stacey."

As well as its role on the TV show, which returned for a one-off Christmas Day special in 2019, the three-bedroom terraced house is attractive to buyers as it comes with no chain and benefits from a west end location.

Inside it has an entrance hall, lounge and dining area, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor, with three bedrooms upstairs.

Outside there is a small front garden as well as a garden to the rear with a patio area.

Former owners Lisa and Michael Edwards moved into the house just after filming was completed for the first series in 2006.

Recently Mrs Edwards commented on Facebook with a photo of the house saying, “Aww our old house! They have lifted the carpets in Uncle Bryns! Probably had quite a bit of Lambrini in them."

Ethical Waste management and removals, who removed the carpet in March, put up a post saying fans could get their hands on “priceless memorabilia”.

The property listing on Chris Davies Estate Agents reads: "This spacious property is located within easy access of the High Street, rail station, beaches, shops, cafes and bars and is offered with no ongoing chain.

"Accommodation comprises entrance hall, lounge through dining room, kitchen and ground floor bathroom. To the first floor there are three bedrooms plus there is an enclosed rear garden."
