A thrilling derby between Dundee and Dundee United has been marred by unacceptable fan behaviour, with the Scottish Premiership fixture briefly disrupted in the first half because of an unsavoury incident.
Dundee went into the interval with a worthy 3-1 advantage after a pulsating opening 45 minutes.
But the game took a worrying turn when a missile was thrown onto the pitch, striking Dundee talisman Simon Murray.
Murray was hit by an object, seemingly a disposable vape, prompting referee Nick Walsh to immediately stop play.
Walsh picked up the item and handed it to police for further investigation.
Following the incident, an announcement over the PA system at Tannadice warned all spectators that if such behaviour continued, the match could be halted.
