Una Healy has said that singing on the Eurovision stage was an incredible experience.
The Tipperary songwriter was a backing singer for Belfast’s Brian Kennedy when he represented Ireland in the Eurovision in 2006 with his self-penned entry, Every Song is Cry for Love.
The song went on to achieve 10th place in the competition. Una told the Irish Mirror: “It was an incredible experience to be able to sing at the Eurovision. You are singing for an audience of over 350 million people. It’s an amazing experience.”

"I have sung for two people, serenading them in the local pub where I used to play,” she joked.
“I used to sing in the local pubs in Tipperary.
“But I have also sung for a massive audience like the Eurovision. It was such a great opportunity to take part in something so iconic.”
Una previously told us she would like to be involved in Eurovision again in some format.
She said: "I’m not too sure about performing myself, but in some shape or form I would absolutely love to be involved.
"It’s an amazing contest and it’s growing even more every year. It’s just become so popular again which is great, I love it."
Proud Una celebrated her son Tadgh’s communion last weekend at the 5-star Cashel Palace Hotel in Tipperary, where she looked sensational in a Chanel-style outfit matched with ivory shoes from her own collection.
