Irish singer Una Healy has spoken out about her split from rugby player husband Ben Foden, and the struggle of raising their two kids.
Ben, 37, and Una, 41, were married from 2012 until 2018, and co-parent their two children; Tadhg, seven, and Aoife Bell, 10.
The pair divorced after rumours of Ben's cheating, with the former rugby player later calling his betrayal his "biggest mistake".
Ben is now married to wife Jackie Smith and the pair welcomed their first child together, daughter Farrah, in May 2020.
Speaking to fellow star Vicky Pattison for the latest episode of Vicky Pattison: The Secret To podcast, Una revealed one of her main struggles is not having the same surname as her two children.
Speaking to reality star Vicky, Una explained: "We [Una and Ben Foden] both came up with the names together really and I think it’s great now actually that they have them [Irish names] too.
"Because they don’t actually have my second name, because they have their dad’s second name, and sometimes it’s a bit awkward.
"Say you’re checking them in somewhere or you’re at the airport and I have to bring their birth certs every time we travel or fly because I’m travelling with these two children with a different surname to me and I’m like, 'they clearly are my children'. So, it is kind of nice for me that they have got Irish first names."
In the same interview, Una also revealed she sometimes struggles as the main parent.
She revealed: "Everything I do is for my kids. It’s tough at times because I am the primary carer and I had to move back here for the support system with my parents so I can still work.
"I want to be an inspiration to my children, I have to put a crust on the table, I have to stay working. I’ve spent my whole life gearing up to what I do and I’m very privileged to do what I do and I never want to let that go."
Discussing work and performing, Una hinted that if the opportunity to reform girl band The Saturdays was offered, she would jump at it. She said: "The number one question I always get asked is, so when are The Saturdays getting back together?
"I get asked it all the time, but there isn’t any plans at the minute but I would hope that we will someday do something. It would be such a shame not to. […] I’d love to do something again."
