When you think of fancy, high-end motorcycles, it’s more than likely that Ducati sits at the top of your list. And indeed, even for non-motorcyclists, Ducati has become synonymous with speed, performance, and racing success. In fact, lots of riders rock bikes like the Panigale V4—even if they don’t have the skill to tame such power—simply because of the status it affords them.
Here’s the thing, whether we like it or not, motorcycling is just as much about the lifestyle as it is getting you from A to B. We riders love to wear our passion for two wheels on our sleeve—literally. I mean, it can be pretty easy to spot a rider even when they’re off the bike. Perhaps it’s a t-shirt with a massive Triumph logo on it, or a Kriega backpack when they’re walking on the street. For some (like myself), it’s just a practical choice to make the most of our stuff. But for others, it’s all about status.
And brands like Ducati want to push a two-wheeled lifestyle that’s all about luxury. We’ve seen it time and time again with all its partnerships with high-end fashion brands like Supreme and Gerald Charles. This time, Ducati’s doing it again with the luxury luggage marque Piquadro.
Ducati and Piquadro have joined forces to bring forth an exclusive capsule collection for those who want to tell the world they’re Ducatisti wherever they go—whether it’s an international flight or a trip to the local strip mall. The collection broke cover at the prestigious Pitti Immagine Uomo 107 in Florence and is the ultimate "if you know, you know" accessory for Ducatisti.
Limited to just 300 numbered pieces, the lineup includes two weatherproof roll-top backpacks and three travel trolleys, two made from sleek polycarbonate and one ultra-premium model crafted from aluminum.
Style-wise, they actually look pretty good—at least to my eyes. They’re simple, sleek, and are actually pretty subtle when it comes to their Ducati branding. Nothing like the loud and gaudy designs we sometimes see from other luxury names in the fashion scene.
The collection is undeniably cool and exudes premium vibes, but let’s be clear—these aren’t the bags you’ll want strapped to the back of your Multistrada or Streetfighter V4. This isn’t gear for the road; it’s gear for the traveler. Unfortunately, you’re not going to find Piquadro-branded top cases or panniers here (at least, not yet).
But for folks who live and breathe Ducati, and have a penchant for traveling in style, this collection hits just might tick all the boxes. Just make sure to prepare your wallet, as Piquadro’s luggage tends to cost several times that of its mainstream competitors.
