Ulrika Jonsson 'rejuvenated and energetic' at 55 as she reveals preference for younger men

Ulrika Jonsson has said that at the age of 55, her sex drive is higher than ever.

The TV star revealed she has been dating on and off for the past 18 months and admitted that she prefers dating younger men as they are more likely to keep up with her high libido, writes The Mirror.

Ulrika also said that she feels more “naughty, silly and ridiculous” as she ever did, and younger men seem more fun. In a chat with Closer magazine, Ulrika shared: “I’m not ageist by any means. I’m an equal opportunities dater, so by all means apply!”

She continued: “I’m 55 now, but I feel rejuvenated and energetic. I genuinely still feel as naughty, silly and ridiculous as I ever did.” Although she has been taking Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) to deal with the menopause, Ulrika said it hasn’t affected her sex life at all.

“I’m still very keen. I would love to have somebody in my life, but possibly not in a conventional way,” she added. Ulrika has been on Celebs Go Dating in a quest to find a man and was also on the dating app Hinge – until she got booted off earlier this year.

She took to Instagram to voice her frustration at being removed from the app for “no reason”. In a screenshot the dating service appeared to suggest she had been banned for "violating our Terms of Service."

The infuriated star wrote over the screenshot: "Nice one @hinge... no reason (maybe you should spend a bit more time banning the countless catfish I've had to endure).... I await your response @hinge." Ulrika later said she believed Hinge might have thought she was someone else impersonating her and it was this that led to the ban.

The mum-of-four has been married three times but is currently single. She tied the knot with first husband, cameraman John Turnball, in 1990 and they divorced five years later.

After a few relationships, including a high profile affair with England football manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, she married Lance Gerrard-Wright in 2003. The couple divorced in October 2006. Two years later, Ulrika married Brian Monet. The two stayed together until their split in 2019.
