Reports had previously suggested that Zelensky was planning to meet with President Donald Trump in Washington, DC in the near future, as per a Ukrainian official. Zelensky himself mentioned during a news conference that the conclusions regarding the deal would be drawn after discussions with Trump.
Describing the agreement on natural resources as a 'framework agreement,' Zelensky highlighted its potential role in future security guarantees. This indicates that the deal is still in the negotiation phase and not yet finalized.
