The Russian invasion of Ukraine has prompted Viktoria Vorotina, a model-turned-artist from Kyiv, to deliver her message of hope and peace through artworks that are exhibited at the RCB Artery on the 1st floor of River City Bangkok, Charoen Krung 24, until April 24.
Titled "The Hope And Peace Collection For Ukraine", the exhibition features remarkable paintings that Vorotina regards as ambassadors for hope and peace for her motherland of Ukraine.
"Now I feel my mission from deep inside my soul is to rebuild people's lives and to re-open their hearts to love and share the light for our world through our creations, through forgotten language, the sounds, the music, the golden thread that connects our people as one," she said.
The abstract paintings portray her hope to see people live in harmony in a world that is free of judgement and cruelty and also honour life and human values. Viewers of her art are invited to share how they feel and connect for our right to have a future.
Vorotina is a transformational and revelatory artist reputed for her use of acrylic oils, charcoal, gold leaf and crystals on large canvases.
Her artworks are about self-realisation in creation, soul mates, soul journeys and open doorways to liberation.
Exclusively on Saturday, there will be an afternoon of art as well as music performed by the Heavenly Voice Singers under the direction of Prof Nancy Tsui-Ping Wei, College of Music Mahidol University, at 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
Proceeds from the artwork sales and concert will go towards charities and beneficiaries in Ukraine.
