Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz made a phone call on Thursday to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after the Kingdom succeeded in arranging the freeing of 10 prisoners of different nationalities as part of a prisoner release between Moscow and Kyiv.
During the call, the Ukrainian President thanked the Crown Prince for his efforts in the prisoner exchange and for accepting Saudi Arabia’s role as mediator, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
He noted the Kingdom’s pivotal role in the Middle East and the world.
According to SPA, the Crown Prince affirmed Saudi Arabia's keenness and support for all international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis politically.
He said the Kingdom will continue the efforts to contribute to alleviating the humanitarian suffering resulting from the crisis, adding the Kingdom was ready to exert efforts to mediate between all parties.
