Volodymyr Zelensky is sadly in the news for all the wrong reasons at the moment as the devastating attacks on Ukraine continue.
The politician, 44, has been praised for his response to Russia's relentless invasion - lead by Vladimir Putin, 69.
However before becoming Ukraine's President in 2019, Volodymyr made a big impact on the showbiz world.
The father-of-two was a famous entertainer in his country, working as an actor and comedian.
He voiced Paddington Bear in the Ukrainian remake of the film and also waltzed his way to top spot of the country's version of Strictly Come Dancing in 2006.
Volodymyr also starred in rom-coms Love In The Big City, Office Romance and 8 First Dates.
In 2015 the politician bagged the starring role in Servant of the People, playing Vasyl Petrovych Holoborodko, a history teacher who is unexpectedly elected President after a video of him slamming the government goes viral.
Last night Channel 4 broadcast the hour-long pilot, which launched the series, plus two 30-minute episodes.
Volodymyr impresses with his impeccable comic timing in the show in which he's just as calamitous as Rowan Atkinson's Mr Bean.
The series was made by Kvartal 95 - the President's own production company - and his wife Olena was one of the scriptwriters.
Life imitated art in March 2018, when the star's real-life political party called the Servant of the People party, won 73% of the country's vote - promising to fight corruption and bring peace in the east of the country.
In the TV series, the teacher's students film Holoborodko making an anti-corruption rant against the Ukrainian government.
"Our presidents come to power and make the same mistakes," he rages.
"'They come to power and steal and steal and steal - and nobody gives a s***. If I could get in there, I'd show them!
"Politicians are mathematicians – the only thing they understand is how to divide, add and multiply their fortunes”.
Volodymyr earned widespread praise for his performance, which is peppered with witticisms stemming from the star's keen eye for humour and irony.
The series was filmed in Kyiv, which sadly looks a far cry from the devastating scenes we see today as the heartbreaking Russian invasion continues.
