Russian soldiers in Ukraine no longer have the strategic strength or understanding of what they are doing in the besieged country, Volodymyr Zelensky said.
“They no longer have strategic strength, character, or understanding of what they are doing here on our land. They also don’t have even an iota of courage to admit defeat and withdraw troops from Ukrainian territory.”
He added that in the “139 days of such a war, almost 20 weeks... the so-called second army of the world is afraid of Ukrainians”.
Russian troops are able to do something only “on the basis of bottomless stocks of old Soviet weapons”.
The war between Russian and Ukrainian soldiers has seen heavy counter attacks from Kyiv. Long-range rocket attacks on Russian forces were launched in southern Ukraine, destroying an ammunition store, Ukraine’s military said on Tuesday.
Fighting in eastern Ukraine has continued as well.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin will visit Iran next week, a day after the US warned Tehran could provide Moscow with hundreds of drones.
