A second attempt to evacuate civilians from Mariupol has failed due to Russian shelling, the city council has said.
The International Committee of the Red Cross has confirmed that the evacuation has been halted.
An evacuation was paused on Saturday after Russia bombed the “green corridor” just 45 minutes after a ceasefire was announced.
Residents were forced to return to their homes where they have been living for several days without water or heating.
Around 400,000 residents began to be evacuated earlier on Saturday but this was stopped after alleged Russian shelling.
