The weather in the UK as a whole has been mixed recently, with experts issuing a heatwave warning shortly followed by one for thunderstorms.
Just yesterday Glasgow saw many downpours amid thunder and lightning which lasted several hours throughout the night.
And due to the excess rainfall, this led to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) putting out an alert for torrential downpours that could lead to flooding.

Drivers were also issued with a warning if they had to head out with experts reminding drivers that the wet weather can make roads significantly more dangerous to travel on as they urged drivers to prepare before they head out on the roads.
But is there another heatwave on the way for Glasgow? According to forecasters at the BBC, Met Office and Accuweather, there appears to be no heatwave on its way for the rest of the month.
According to Accuweather, who have predicted what the rest of August will look like, the highest temperatures Glasgow will see will be on August 25 and 26 where it will peak at 20C. The rest of the month will see average temperatures of 18C and 19C with more rain expected.
For other areas of the UK it's looking much the same with London set for highs of 24C over the next week. However weather forecasters have not predicted a heatwave any time soon and with summer nearing an end, it may not happen for a while yet.
