Stretches of the UK are due to be hit by ferocious winds and snowfall as the latest storm sweeps in.
The Met Office has issued weather warnings for Scotland Northern Ireland for today and tomorrow.
The forecaster has said that the majority of Scotland and the north eastern part of Northern Ireland will be deluged by frequent, heavy snow showers.
Heavy flakes will be whipped up by strong winds as lightning strikes and thunder claps give the scene an apocalyptic feel.
The weather warnings run until 8pm on Thursday evening.

Snowfall of up to 10cm is forecast in the lowlands and 30cm on hills, with gusts of wind potentially reaching 70mph in parts of Scotland today.
This afternoon the Met Office update the yellow wind warning for today to include the North East.
The following areas are likely to be impacted by winds of up to 60mph: Central, Tayside & Fife, Angus, Dundee, Fife, Perth, Kinross, Darlington, Durham, Gateshead, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Redcar and Cleveland South, Tyneside, Stockton-on-Tees, Sunderland, East Lothian, Edinburgh, Midlothian Council, Scottish Borders, West Lothian, East Riding of Yorkshire and North Yorkshire
Since Storm Dudley hit last week, the weather has been in turns torrential, freezing and icy with fearsome winds after Storm Eunice and Franklin thrashed the UK in quick succession.
Now there are fears the serious weather front heading to the UK could be upgraded to Storm Gladys by the Met Office.

Time: 1pm Wednesday February 24 to 3pm Thursday, February 24
Regarding the snow and lightning weather warning, the Met Office says: "Frequent heavy snow showers are expected, along with very gusty winds and a chance of frequent lightning affecting some places."
What to expect from the wind & snow warning
- There is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, rail, air and ferry services are affected. There is also a chance some vehicles and passengers could become stranded.
- There is a slight chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.
- There is a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off.
- A small chance of injuries and danger to life from lightning strikes.
- Where lightning strikes occur, there is a small chance that building/structures could be damaged

As for the wind warning in south east Scotland and north east England, the forecaster wrote: "Strong winds are expected for time on Wednesday."
What to expect from the wind warning
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
- Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
- Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer
- Some short term loss of power and other services is possible
