The sunshine will bring temperatures of 18C to the UK next week as the weather turns hot and dry in most parts of the country.
Some parts of Scotland could also enjoy highs of 20C tomorrow while temperatures remain in the mid-teens in the rest of the UK.
Met Office meteorologist Craig Snell said the best of sunshine during the day will be across parts of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, the Midlands, central and southern England as well as northern Scotland and Northern Ireland.
In other areas in western and northwestern England, as well as the rest of Scotland, Monday will be "a rather grey day", Mr Snell added.
In the sunshine temperatures could reach 18C or 19C, possibly even 20C in the Shetland Islands, the meteorologist said.
On Tuesday, as an area of high pressure begins to move towards the UK, Brits may experience a breeze that could bring temperatures down.
Eastern parts of England and Scotland could see the mercury going down to 11C along the coast, while western areas remain warmer, with highs of 19C in Scotland.
The Met Office tweeted: "The weather will become increasingly settled during the coming days as high pressure begins to build in from Scandinavia.
"However, as an easterly wind moves over the cold North Sea it will bring a contrast of temperatures across the UK, with the highest values in the west."
Most places around the UK will stay settled and dry with sunny spells until the end of the month, according to the Met Office's long-range weather forecast from April 20 to April 29.
Temperatures are likely to remain "rather warm" towards the end of April, especially in western and northwestern England.
Coastal areas may experience colder breeze as winds move in, forecasters added.
The beginning of May is likely to remain settled, but meteorologists said that confidence is low so far, so unsettled weather is a possibility too.
