Weather -weary Brits could be dealing with considerable travel disruption today thanks to another wave of heavy rain and high winds.
Torrential downpours will land on already wet ground over the course of Thursday morning, leading five locations across the home nations to be issued urgent flood warnings.
Residents and local businesses have been told to prepare for imminent flooding, with the 'act now' advice including moving family and pets to safety and vehicles to higher elevations if is safe to do so.
Natural Resources Wales have placed Dale in South Wales under one such warning, with the Environment Agency in England applying the same level of advisory to the Slad Brook near Stroud and the River Nene east of Peterborough.
Two flood warnings have also been issued by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency at Churchill Barriers in Orkney and Loch Ryan in the Scottish Lowlands. A number of less serious flood alerts are also in place across the UK.
The Met Office has meanwhile warned that the wet and windy weather could spell trouble for commuters, saying: "A brief spell of heavy rain and strong, gusty winds perhaps causing some transport disruption and flooding.
"A narrow band of rain, heavy at times and perhaps briefly intense, will move eastwards late on Thursday morning and into the afternoon, clearing Kent during the evening.
"Ten to 15mm is likely to fall in a one-to-two-hour period, with around 20mm in a few places."

Friday will see sunshine and showers, these heaviest and most frequent in the northwest. Rain and strong winds moving east across the UK over the weekend, with blustery showers following.
