Brits are braced for a wet week ahead as rain sweeps in from Northern Ireland into parts of England and Wales.
Early cloud and rain will spread eastwards across much of England and Wales on Tuesday morning and rain will be heavy at times in the west, the Met Office said.
The south should stay dry with some bright spells, while Scotland should see sunny spells with a few sharp showers.
But Tuesday evening will see rain over Wales and northern and central England, which will sink southwards overnight.
There will be some heavy rain in west Wales, while Scotland will be drier, clearer and chilly.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with rain at times across the southern half of the UK.
It will be drier and brighter further north, but isolated showers are possible over inland parts of Scotland and northern England.
Central and southern areas of the UK will be cloudy with rain on Thursday, while it will be bright with showers in the north.
Showers are likely in the north on Friday, but it will otherwise be widely dry and bright.
