Brits are to be battered with heavy rain and wind and could face further flooding with new warnings from the Met Office.
The UK has been hit all week with showers that have led to roads being submerged in parts of the south west of England and train services have also been affected.
And it appears as though there is more heavy rain to come today and over the weekend with the Met Office having issued yellow warnings that affect the west of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
For Friday there are warnings that run from 9pm and 10pm overnight until 12pm tomorrow which covers the north west of England and parts of the south west of the country. It states: “Heavy rain bringing the chance of some flooding and disruption."
People are told: "Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely. Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.
“Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer. Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely.”
And for a part of south west of England and Wales including Bath, Exeter and Cardiff it also says that “some communities may be cut off by flooded roads”.
Then on Sunday there is a further warning of “strong winds and heavy rain” which may cause disruption to travel, that runs for Northern Ireland that runs from 2pm until 3am.
The overall outlook is for blustery conditions and it will also start to feel colder.
Wintry conditions are expected to sweep across the UK this weekend, with weather maps from independent forecaster WXCharts showing snowfall arriving in Scotland early on Saturday.
More snow will then hit northern areas of England, Wales and the Midlands on Sunday, with flakes then falling further south from Monday to Wednesday.
This will be accompanied by a sharp drop in temperatures with night time lows of -6C expected in the northernmost areas and daytime temperatures only reaching -1C in Inverness on Monday.
