Brits are braced for storms with warnings in place for flooding and strong winds.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the UK today with strong winds expected to cause travel delays and difficult driving conditions.
The warning in north-western Scotland runs until 2pm today with 29 flood warnings in place for England, 12 in Scotland and three in Wales.
Hail and thunder are expected in the south and west of England as temperatures reach highs of 8C.
Brits should make the most of the mild temperatures with forecasts suggesting it will feel bitterly cold again by next week.
Maps from WXCharts show that heavy snow can be expected on January 20 for Scotland and there will also be flurries across the country over the subsequent days including down to the south coast.
Temperatures could drop as low as -13C and -7C in northern England, while it will also dip below freezing in the south, according to the charts.
Flooding has already been seen in parts of the UK with heavy rain and rising water levels.
In Nottinghamshire, cars were left struggling in deep water forcing police to close Rufford Ford.

Millions of people watched across the globe as motorists attempted to go through Rufford Ford - often failing.
Crowds of viewers were also brought in off-screen as well, with hundreds coming to watch the cars in person.
