The TV schedule for the UK's coverage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar has been released, confirming that England's opening game of the tournament against Iran will be screened live on the BBC.
Drawn in Group B, England, who reached the semi-finals of the last World Cup in 2018, will face Iran, the USA and one of Wales, Scotland or Ukraine in their quest to reach the last-16. For the first time since 1966, the Three Lions will be in action on the opening day of the tournament, facing Iran on Monday, November 21.
It has been confirmed that the clash with Iran will be shown live on BBC One, kick-off 1:00pm GMT. Over the course of the group stages there will be four matches per day, with the first two matchdays consisting of matches kicking-off at 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm GMT.
