A small seaside town has been dubbed the UK's very own Ibiza due to its beautiful beaches and lively bars.
Millions of tourists flock to the Spanish island every year to bask in the glorious sunshine and experience the famed nightlife.
But Margate in Thanet may be giving the Balearic island a run for its money.
The seaside town on the north coast of Kent boasts a host of trendy bars and restaurants where residents or holidaymakers can soak in the summer sun on the beach.
Similar to Ibiza, beaches in the coastal town are full with people during the summer, while the area has even been described as "tropical" by long-time resident Jonathan Edwards.
The textile artist, 39, has lived in Margate for eight years and says it's "cool and hip".
He told The Sun : “When it’s summer time and you are sitting on the sea front or in a bar and the sun is shining, after a few drinks you could squint and think it’s Ibiza, for sure."
While Ibiza is popular with the creative community, Margate has also proven to be so in recent years, according to society magazine Tatler, and this has drawn comparisons between the two areas.
Music producer Chris Hayden, who has lived in Margate since 2014, owns a tequila and mescal bar and agrees that the town is like Ibiza.
The 41-year-old said: “Through the summer it’s one of the hottest places in the country. Every town has its ups and downs and that’s part of the charm."
Of course, Margate is not Ibiza and does not regularly get the 30C temperatures that come with visiting the Spanish island.
And some residents do point out obvious differences. Dan McCusker, 28, works in a beachfront skate shop and admitted that the town is not as party-oriented as Ibiza.
Dan, who has lived in Margate all his life, said: "I think Ibiza is very different… Margate is more brunch than clubs. Yes, it’s very touristy but not an intense party atmosphere like over there.
“There aren’t that many big clubs here though… In the summer the beaches are always filled."
Helen Preston, 58, believes Margate is an up and coming town and added that there is plenty of stuff to do whether living or visiting the area.
“It’s a very creative place but more could be done to improve the look of it. If it was all tidied up a little, it definitely could be the new Ibiza," she said.
