An aspiring reality TV star dubbed 'the UK's human ken doll' has been fined, after he breached terms imposed by a court by going abroad without permission.
Jimmy Featherstone, 23, from Hull landed himself in serious hot water after he left the country in the hopes of picking up "lucrative" TV work, Hull Live reports.
He admitted breaching his post-custodial sentence supervision in Hull magistrates court, after conditions banned him from travelling outside the United Kingdom without authorisation.
The probation service told the court that Featherstone began his supervision on January 10, but travelled abroad in September when the trip had not been authorised by the head of the service.
Rebecca Shears, mitigating, said that Featherstone had admitted the breach at the earliest opportunity.
She added that he had asked to go on holiday at the beginning of the year and this was accepted.
He had later hoped to film for a TV show to be shown in February next year, but this request was refused.
Miss Shears said: "This was a brilliant job opportunity.
"There would be good remuneration and he felt that it was an opportunity that he simply could not miss because it would lead to a lot of other doors being opened."
He needed to be filming for four weeks, but received a telephone call on behalf of the probation service saying that he "needed to be home", and so he "flew home within four days".
It was not mentioned in court where the foreign trip was. Featherstone apologised for what happened.
Miss Shears said he realised " it was a silly decision to travel abroad, and had been left "distressed at the prospect of a return to custody" as it could result in the loss of his full-time employment at a dentist.
When Featherstone was asked whether he did receive any money for the time he had been away, he replied: "Yes, £800."
There had been no further unauthorised absences and he failed to comply with the order for only four days.
"He has not committed any further offences since his release from prison," said Miss Shears.
Featherstone was fined £230 for the breach, and agreed to pay the fine in full within 28 days.
The self-described tanning addict spent a single month behind bars at the end of 2021 after he failed to comply with orders relating to previous offences, including harassment.
He has previously claimed to spend around £10,000-a-year on cosmetic surgery.
