A breakdown of UK hotspots has revealed the areas with the most Russian-owned homes.
Figures from the Centre for Public Data show the areas with the most homes owned by people with correspondence addresses to the Russian Federation.
The City of Westminster tops the list with 87 individuals linked to that area, many of whom may be oligarchs or have connections to the Kremlin.
The South-East dominates ownership with a high number of properties registered in Tandridge, Surrey (57) and other areas of London including Lambeth, (54), Tower Hamlets, (34) Newham (54) Kensington and Chelsea (30) all high on the list.
The north of England also features high on the list with Liverpool, Merseyside (72), Bradford, Yorkshire (39) and Blackpool (32) ranking highly.
Trafford in Manchester, meanwhile, had 19 properties on the list
YorkshireLive reports £6.3million worth of property is owned by Russians in Bradford with areas having the sixth-highest number of Russian-owned properties of all UK boroughs.
But it is predominately London and the South-East which dominates areas with Russian-owned properties.
London areas score highly with Southwark recording 29 properties, Ealing - nine and Hackney - eight.
Properties in the City of London fall to seven, sharing the same total with Barnsley, Salford, Leeds, Knowsley and Cambridge.
Elsewhere in the country, Birmingham recorded 27 properties registered to the Russian Federation, Cornwall and Hambleton (22), and Conwy (10) and Gwynedd (one) in Wales.
YorkshireLive states Sheffield had the most titles in Yorkshire with correspondence addresses in Russia totalling an estimated £4.1m.
Other areas with titles registered to Russian addresses were Barnsley (7), Leeds (7), Kirklees (6), York (4), Calderdale (2), Selby (1).
Another borough with Russian-owned properties was Hambleton, North Yorkshire where 22 properties titles (total estimated value just shy of £6m) were registered to Russian addresses.
The area with the greatest estimated total value of Russian-owned properties (£89.7m) was the City of Westminster.
Homes in the UK registered to individuals from the federation are believed to be worth a total of £499.1m.
The actual total, including homes registered to Russian companies and not included in the figures, could be significantly higher.
The CPD analysis states that the figures were obtained from Freedom of Information requests.
The report says: "We obtained new data on the number of properties owned by individuals based overseas, via Freedom of Information (FOI) requests to HM Land Registry.
"This data shows the number of titles registered to individuals with an overseas correspondence address, broken down by the district where the title is located, and the country of the address. "
.he Centre for Public Data said in November: "Our research highlights the need for better data on UK property, to enable more systematic and better-informed work on affordability, and the lack of progress on previous transparency and data commitments."
