UK Eurovision's Sam Ryder outs Ben Adams as one of Norway's Subwoolfer after backstage spot

Eurovision star Sam Ryder has 'outed' Ben Adams as being one of Norway's Eurovision entrants in a live radio interview.

As he basks in the glory of his second place result in Saturday's Eurovision Song Contest final, UK representative Sam has been doing the press rounds since landing back on home turf. The Space Man singer has been on TV on the likes of The One Show and BBC Breakfast since returning from Italy, and has also been a guest on a host of radio shows.

One of those saw him take to the airwaves on Magic and it was during the chat, broadcast to listeners across the country, that Sam, riding high in the midweek charts with his Eurovision anthem, finally let the cat out of the bag that A1 star Ben was one of Subwoolfer.

As soon as Subwoolfer were confirmed as Norway's entry for Eurovision 2022, speculation started on just who was inside the yellow wolf suits seen on stage. Neither of the singers appeared out of costume on camera, but, having heard him sing and speak on stage during a pre-Eurovision concert in London, many fans were adamant one was Ben.

Another theory was that the duo, who have made the iTunes top 10 across Europe with Give That Wolf a Banana, were Ylvis, the double act who gave us viral novelty hit What Does The Fox Say a few years ago. However as Subwoolfer appeared in Saturday's final, it was Ben's name that was posted time and time again on social media.

BBC host Graham Norton also added fuelled to the fire by mentioning the boyband star's name during his commentary and, when put on the spot by Magic presenters Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott on Tuesday morning, Sam confirmed Ben was one of Subwoolfer.

He told the Boyzone legend: "It was absolutely him. He is a legend Ben. I saw Ben getting at the croissant at the buffet tower and I was like 'hang on what are you doing here?' I am so intrigued by the whole story. I did not get a chance to ask him because I did not want to let on to him that I knew who he was."

Sam added: "I am chatting to this guy in a wolf mask and in my head, I know you're Ben from A1, but I do not want to tell you I know."
