Uh, What Happened To Leo From Love Is Blind’s Entire Family?

The newest season of Netflix’s hit show Love Is Blind has got fans in a tizzy, with one cast member in particular catching their attention. It’s not because he’s rich though — but because he won’t stop complaining about his wealth. Also like, what happened to his whole family?

Leo Braudy entered Love Is Blind season seven as one of the singles looking for love on the popular show. And though there were 15 men and 15 women on the cast, Leo and his Rolex have had more than their fair share of screen time.

In case you don’t know, Love Is Blind is a reality TV program created by Netflix where a slew of singles go on dates together — and even get engaged! — all before actually seeing each other.

Separated by partitions in “pods”, the bachelors and bachelorettes talk to each other through a speaker and are given no visual hint of their partner’s appearance. The intention being that cast members will end up with someone they love the personality of, over their looks.

Admittedly, Love Is Blind hasn’t been super successful at creating lasting relationships once they leave the show, but it still allows its contestants the chance to fall in love without being worried about insecurities.

This wasn’t the case for 31-year-old art dealer Leo, however, who took his biggest insecurity and made it his entire personality.

Leo doesn’t stop talking about his wealth

Throughout his appearance on the first five episodes of Love Is Blind season seven, Leo made it clear that he is weary of potential partners only wanting him for his “interesting and lucrative” job.

Problem was, that seemed to be the only thing he ever talked about.

In pretty much every single moment he was shown on camera, Leo was talking to either his dates or his fellow bachelors about the fact that he was “financially well-off”.

However, what makes it strange behaviour from Leo is that his wealth being taken advantage of was apparently his biggest fear about coming on the show.

“One of my biggest insecurities is that a girl only wants me, like, for money,” Leo said in a confessional segment.

Fans roast Leo online

Fans of the show quickly began to sledge the 31-year-old online for the ironic way that his financial insecurities became his only personality trait.

Love Is Blind viewers pointed out that Leo’s behaviour didn’t make sense, because if he truly didn’t want anyone choosing him for his wealth, he could have just not mentioned it???

There was another element of Leo’s character that caught the attention from fans too: where his wealth came from.

Leo explained on dates and to his fellow single men that he had actually inherited his art dealership empire from his parents after they passed away due to cancer in the last few years.

Though this is clearly a sombre topic, some began questioning how such a mass tragedy could occur at random.

“I am trying to understand how Leo’s immediate family and extended family all got lethal cancer, especially since most of them are unrelated to one another,” wrote one person on the Love Is Blind subreddit.

“Is it the same type of cancer? Do they all live in the same place or work in the same industry?”

Other internet sleuths tried looking into the Braudy family history to see if Leo actually was as rich as he said he was.

What happened to Leo from Love Is Blind‘s family?

According to that same Reddit thread, one user claimed to have gone on a Hinge date with the Love Is Blind star.

“I went on a Hinge date with Leo in 2019 and I confirm he sucks in person too,” she wrote.

The Redditor alleged that Leo had been drunk and upset over their course of their failed date due to his mother’s progressing breast cancer.

“Sounds like it didn’t end well, which is unfortunate to hear,” the Redditor wrote.

It would appear that this unfortunate and natural fate is what happened to Leo’s family, like he said on the show.

Meanwhile, another Redditor alleged that Leo’s company, Capital Art Advisory, was nowhere near as successful as he touted it to be, saying it was “practically a nonexistent company”.

“They are an online dealer of glass art. According to the bio on the website, Leo revolutionised the business by introducing high end bongs,” they wrote.

“They are not big names in the industry and Leo is not a smidge as impressive as he paints himself to be.”

Leo claims he was victim of a bad edit

In response to the major criticism he received on from his appearance on Love Is Blind season seven, Leo Braudy has jumped back onto social media to try and rehabilitate his reputation.

His first point of order has been arguing that he was victim to a dodgy edit, and that producers only chose to show all the times he mentioned his financial conundrum on dates.

He did this by sharing a TikTok from fellow contestant Ally Dawson who claimed she went on a date with the art dealer and did not know he was rich.

“If you notice, I never talked about money with her either. Weird, hmm,” Leo posted on Instagram.

His new followers weren’t buying it though, with one pointing in response that means Leo bragged about his wealth to “only 12/15 dates”.

Where can I watch Love Is Blind?

All of Leo’s antics on season seven of Love is Blind can be streamed on Netflix.
